Chicken and Broccoli with Asiago Gravy
Recipe: Chicken and Broccoli with Asiago Gravy
Cookbook: Yum-o!
Total Time: 30 minutes
Difficulty: easy
Husband says: “What kind of cheese was that, I didn’t really like it, but other then that it was okay.” (He says I can elaborate on his comments, however, I feel like that is doing an injustice to the women out there, I’m sure most of your husbands wouldn’t elaborate either on dinner, so this is exactly what he says.)
Notes:Like I said above, butterflying the chicken would be good for this meal, they cook a lot quicker and more evenly by doing this. I didn’t substitute anything in this meal, it is just exactly as you see it, with the exception of broccoli for broccolini, but they can’t be that different. I did however use the same skillet to cook the chicken and gravy in, I didn’t see it as necessary to dirty up more dishes, I love an easy clean up. If you don’t like sharp cheeses, I’m sure you can substitute the asiago with something else, because it is very sharp. I’m picky about my cheese, but I love sharp cheeses, for me it was perfect, for my husband, not so much. COOKING TIP: If you want to save some calories on the cheese gravy, substitute half of the milk with chicken stock, it taste the same, but lower in fat!
