Rachael Ray: Inside out Turkey Bacon Cheeseburgers
Friday, August 28th, 2009I might not have made the healthiest version of this Rachael Ray recipe, but I didn’t serve it on a bun, so that should count for something. You know we are always trying different burger recipes from Rachael Ray, she’s got a lot of them. The real star of this dinner for me was the oven “O-Rings”. I really love onion rings, but I’ve never been real successful at making them. These really cooked well and the breading stayed on pretty well. I think I might could’ve cut them thicker.

Notes: I used beef instead of ground turkey on these, I just don’t like it. Tried it before, but I can’t eat it. I did use the turkey bacon, but I cooked it really well, like until it was burnt. I also put the tomato on top while it was still cooking, to heat that up some. It was strange, like the cheese disappeared in the burger, I didn’t see it when I cut into it. I would also add some salt to the onion rings, they needed more flavor. Other then that it wasn’t bad! Oh, I also choose not to use mustard in the meat, just wasn’t feeling it!
- add tomato on top of patty
- flip
- grill the burgers
- add cheese
- stuff patty with bacon
- add salt and pepper to meat
- bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees
- cover in corn meal
- drudge in flour
- soak onions in milk
- cook turkey bacon
