Chicken Recipe: Dark Chocolate and Chicken?

Monday, January 19th, 2009

I found this Rachael Ray recipe in this month’s edition of Everyday with Rachael Ray magazine as well, I love dark chocolate, so I was intrigued when I noticed this one. My husband loves chicken wings, I love chocolate, it couldn’t be a better fit for us. Well, the wings were good, but honestly they weren’t that spicy, and you couldn’t takes the dark chocolate, just read what my husband says, and you can be your own judge on if you want to venture out and cook chicken with chocolate or not!

Recipe: Spicy Chocolate Wings, again, if you want this recipe, you’ll have to buy the magazine…sorry!

Cookbook: Everyday with Rachael Ray magazine

Total Time: 30 minutes, much better then yesterday!

Difficulty: easy

Husband says: “Finger-licking good! I didn’t find them that spicy, it was good, I love wings!”

Notes: The only thing that I didn’t use was hot pepper sauce, I probably could’ve used Hot Sauce to make them spicier. I severed these up with some good old Bush’s Baked Beans and corn on the cob.

Chicken Recipe: 3 of my favorite things…

Saturday, January 17th, 2009

I’ve been venturing out in trying Rachael Ray’s cheese gravies, she seems to like those. This Rachael Ray recipe combines cheese, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. I know I’m crazy but broccoli and cheese is my favorite “veggie”, if you don’t like it and you know my grandma, eat hers once and you’ll be hooked too! I think that you’ll really enjoy this dinner, even with the Gouda cheese!

Recipe: Chicken with Gouda Gravy and Smashed Brocco-tatoes

Ready to eat!

Ready to eat!

Cookbook: YUM-O

Total Time: 45 minutes, my potatoes took forever to boil…

Difficulty: easy (I’m not sure this will ever change)

Husband Says: “Nothing profound, it was good, I don’t have any words of wisdom, I liked it.”

Notes:The only thing that I did a little different on this recipe is I cooked the chicken on my grill pan, mostly because I got it for Christmas and haven’t been able to use it yet! Also instead of boiling broccoli, I steamed it in the microwave with my favorite product, steam in the bag vegetables then mixed them into the potatoes, all covered in cheese, this meal will sure be a kid pleaser! (Or maybe it’s not so good for you so it’ll give you a heart attack…it’s not that bad for you, I’m sure it could be worse.)
