Rachael Ray: Cheese Stuffed Hot Dogs with Spicy Onions

This Rachel Ray recipe is perfect for Mother’s Day. It may not be Mom’s favorite, but Dad, this one you can make and you can not screw up. The kiddos can help too! Every once in a blue moon I feel like a hot dog, I don’t really like them, I love sausage dogs, or if my hot dog is smothered in chili, cheese, and brunt to a crisp I’ll eat it. This recipe featured in Rachael Ray’s magazine I just could not resist. I would eat these again, and like I said, I don’t even really like hot dogs.

Cookbook: Everyday with Rachael Ray Magazine

Total Time: 15 minutes

Husband Says: “These are good hot dogs.”

Notes: I followed the recipe exactly, even shaking the hot dogs in a baggie. I did not toast all of the buns, just mine. You know the husband doesn’t like “crusty” bread, but I love a good hot dog on a nice freshly toasted bun! You must try these onions, they are sweet, and the hot dogs are spicy, it’s a perfect combination!

Where did you find the adobe sauce stuff? These look so yummy! I can’t wait to make them.

The pepper in adobe sauce are in cans usually in the mexican aisle, at least at wal-mart they are. I don’t remember the exact brand name, but I am pretty sure they are in a can with a red label, they are short cans, like half the size of a canned vegetable.
