I saw Rachael Ray make this on her show not to long ago, something about it just looked so good. I was hesitant to try it because I do not make gravy from scratch. Personally, I think making gravy is hard. The only person I know that makes perfect gravy from scratch is my grandmother. When we have biscuits and gravy at our house, it comes from a mix, not from scratch. Every time I attempt to make it, it turns out incredibly lumpy and not good. I will say this gravy turned out excellent, we may be kissing that pouch goodbye for good! However, I do not enjoy the smell of bacon that lingers in the house after you fry it.

Cookbook: Rachael Ray Online

Total Time: 20 minutes

Notes:I was really worried these wouldn’t come out easy, but they slipped right out of the muffin tin, so I was pleased with that. I did heavily spray the pan to make sure they would come out. I also probably should’ve bought smaller biscuits, but I couldn’t find just 1 tube of smaller biscuits, so my biscuits are big, but they were oh so sweet and flaky!

Cookbook: Rachael Ray Daytime Show

Total Time: 30 minutes

Husband Says: “This is good, it’s different. I like it.”

Notes: I couldn’t find the straw-like pasta Rachael Ray recommends for this recipe, so I bought thicker spaghetti. I also did not add any beef broth, I felt like the sauce was pretty thin, so I didn’t think it needed it. I really did like this recipe, I thought it was very different, maybe it was the red pepper flakes. I liked the kick to the sauce, it was delicious! I also used dried herbs, except for the fresh parsley on top.

I was very hesitant to try it, because don't get me wrong this is some weird combinations in this casserole. But, it has a lot of things we really like, so why not throw them together? The interesting thing is usually the husband eats everything separately, yeah he's one of those people. However, he's not too picky about eating things together. So you may think we're crazy because we tried it, but the end verdict was, we liked it!

Total Time:40 minutes

Husband Says:“It could be less spicy, it’s a little hot. I like it, it’s good.”

Notes:This recipe could be titled “everything in your kitchen but the kitchen sink.” There are a ton of ingredients in this, and I had to use 3 bowls and 3 pans to make this, plus the casserole dish. So obviously I won’t be making this a lot because that’s a little too much clean up for me. I didn’t heat the beans in a pot, but in a bowl in the microwave, and I didn’t top it with olives; I don’t like them. I should’ve been nice and put them on the husbands, because I have them, but the baby was crying, you know how it is!

Rachael Ray has a lot of Italian recipes, I'm not sure this is true Italian Pizza, but it is good. When I made it I had a ton of trouble with the biscuits. I'm usually not picky about brands, but don't buy off brand canned biscuits, buy the best ones, you know the ones! You're supposed to cut these in thirds, so I got more like a pizza bread, but don't get me wrong it was good. We had a lot and didn't eat them all, so Jeremy took them to school, the other teachers loved them! I hope you love them too! I did tell you just to pick your favorite pizza toppings, but if you want to follow the recipe, by all means, I won't stop you!

If anyone makes these, let me know how the biscuits worked for you. I may try this again when I have a chance with the dough boy biscuits!

For ever my favorite resturants has been Olive Garden, I used to always get Spaghetti and Meat Sauce, and of course no one can compete with their salad and breadsticks. My Dad introduced me to tonights dinner, and I've liked it ever since I've tried it. A couple of weeks ago my parents, my sister-in-law, and I ate their. My mom wondered if you could make this dish, so of course I saw it on Rachael Ray, the TV (that I record everyday and I watch with my 10 month old, who happens to love Rachael Ray as well!) I had to try it out. I hope you enjoy this, I thought it was pretty good!

My mom wondered if you could make this dish, so of course I saw it on Rachael Ray, the TV (that I record everyday and I watch with my 10 month old, who happens to love Rachael Ray as well!)
Recipe: Pasta E Fagioli

Ready to eat!

Cookbook: Rachael Ray Daytime Show

Total Time: 45 minutes, only about 15 minutes prep time!

Difficulty: easy

Husband Says: “It’s good for the most part, instead of sausage balls, I’d perfer it to be more spread out, like ground meat.”

Notes:I pretty much followed this recipe, except for Fennel seed, I didn’t have them, I can’t remember if I was too cheap to buy them, or couldn’t find them. Also, I used bacon instead of pancetta, they are like “cousins”. However, that being said, I think I would add a can of diced tomatoes, if you like tomato flavor. I served this up with some frozen garlic bread sticks and a Cesar salad! TIP: Make sure you deglaze the pan, meaning, pour in a little chicken broth and with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula scrape up all the bits from the bottom of the pan. This adds flavor and will be helpful when cleaning time rolls around! Also make this in a heavy bottom pot, like a cast iron pot, I love my Le Creuset deep roasting pot, it’s perfect for soups! (Plus it reminds me of my grandmother, she did buy it for me, but she also makes the most amazing roast and carrots for Sunday lunch in hers!)
