Rachael Ray: Breakfast Fondue

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

I saw Rachael Ray make this on her show not to long ago, something about it just looked so good. I was hesitant to try it because I do not make gravy from scratch. Personally, I think making gravy is hard. The only person I know that makes perfect gravy from scratch is my grandmother. When we have biscuits and gravy at our house, it comes from a mix, not from scratch. Every time I attempt to make it, it turns out incredibly lumpy and not good. I will say this gravy turned out excellent, we may be kissing that pouch goodbye for good! However, I do not enjoy the smell of bacon that lingers in the house after you fry it.

Notes: I served our Breakfast Fondue with biscuits, roasted potatoes, and bacon. It was delicious! I wish I had a fondue pot to serve it in, maybe I’ll put that on my Christmas list!

Rachael Ray: Monkey Buns

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

Rachael Ray made this on her show I think last week in the test kitchen. The baby loves bananas and bread and since he can have honey now, I thought he might really like these. He did not disappoint. He ate his first one, and quickly did the sign for more. So he loved it! These would be a great snack, dessert, or breakfast. I probably would’ve been satisfied with them for dinner.

Notes:I was really worried these wouldn’t come out easy, but they slipped right out of the muffin tin, so I was pleased with that. I did heavily spray the pan to make sure they would come out. I also probably should’ve bought smaller biscuits, but I couldn’t find just 1 tube of smaller biscuits, so my biscuits are big, but they were oh so sweet and flaky!

Welcome
