Rachael Ray: Devilish Sesame Chicken

Friday, November 20th, 2009

This Rachael Ray recipe was so good. I loved all the flavors in it. I am not really sure why it is called “devilish”. I didn’t have a ton of heat in mine, just tasted like a good sesame chicken to me. There isn’t much more to say about this one; the little guy loved the rice. He wouldn’t eat anything else. If you’re looking forĀ  quick and easy dinner this would be the one for you!

Cookbook: Big Orange Book

Total Time: 25 minutes

Notes:I didn’t follow the instructions word for word for the rice. I used boil in a bag rice boiled in a mix of chicken stock and water. I added the scallions in at the end. I also always just use soy sauce over tarmari. I do feel like maybe it’s time to buy some of that, but it is just a dark soy sauce. I doubt it taste much different.

Rachael Ray: Chutney and Cheddar Stuffed Chicken

Monday, November 16th, 2009

This recipe was shown with a picture, that always makes things look good to me. So I gave this stuffed Chicken from Rachael Ray a try. I’m really bad at stuffing chicken, it never works out well for me. You’ll see in the pictures that my cheddar spilled out a little bit. I will say I was more successful this time ten I have been in the past! This was very delicious! I highly recommend it!

Total Time: 25 minutes

Notes:I couldn’t find any prepared chutney, so the closest thing I could match it to was a mango salsa. Also, I just used yellow cheddar, again due to lack of white cheddar at the store. I only made 1 breast, so I just made it on the skillet and didn’t finish it in the oven.
