Rachael Ray: Spinach Salad with Swiss Crisps

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

Well, I really messed this Rachael Ray one up. Well I made the salad and the dressing, but I couldn’t find any Swiss cheese I could shred. So, I thought, well I bet any cheese will work. Well, I used Monterrey jack cheese, and it didn’t work. So I tried some Parmesan cheese and it didn’t work either. So I’m thinking it was probably the skillet I was using. So when I’ve got a non-stick one clean I have every intention of trying to make cheese crisps, because I do want to try them!

Notes: I think I used a little too much mustard, I wasn’t a huge fan of the dressing. So, I guess basically I wasn’t a huge fan of this recipe, maybe I just had an off day.

Rachael Ray: Israeli Spiced Chicken

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

This Rachael Ray chicken recipe is simple and delicious. I just love when you can smell the spices while the chicken is grilling. Once I got one whiff of the chicken; I knew it was going to be nothing short of amazing! This is more of a rub recipe then anything else, but you can always use rubs. I think this rub would be equally delicious on beef as well as chicken. I liked how this chicken didn’t taste like other grilled chicken I would make; at least I felt it was very different.

Notes: As you can see I served this chicken on top of a salad; you could serve this up with other vegetables, but I was in a salad mood, so that was my choice.

Welcome
I like to cook and post about it in this blog. In 2009, I cooked a Rachael Ray recipe everyday for my family. You can check out the featured receipe from 2009. Here's hoping this blog makes your lives a little less work and more enjoyable!
