Calzone Rolls

Here is a “sammy” that is quick to make but nothing special.

All done!

Recipe: Calzone Rolls with Salami, Tomato, and Basil

Ingredients

Ingredients

Cookbook: Big Orange Book

Total Time: 20 minutes

Difficulty: beginner or not hard at all, your kids could pretty much do this

Husband says: They’re alright, didn’t like the hard bread.

Notes: I replaced the salami in this recipe with Canadian Bacon, we like that better, and I added a little pesto to the cheese mixture. I’m sure these rolls aren’t what was intended to use, however its what I found at the grocery store. Basically these are just sandwiches, or “sammies”, and they were okay, I don’t love ricotta cheese so I wouldn’t normally make a sandwich with it, but I’ll agree with my husband, they’re alright, and for the record the bread wasn’t that hard, just the ouside was crusty!

Wow! I’m impressed! You must not eat out much then…that’s my goal. It will be easier to do in 09′ since I now have Celiac, a blessing in disguise I guess. Looking forward to your posts!

I like to cook and post about it in this blog. In 2009, I cooked a Rachael Ray recipe everyday for my family. You can check out the featured receipe from 2009. Here's hoping this blog makes your lives a little less work and more enjoyable!
