I love to cook and I love Rachael Ray. So I cook Rachael Ray recipes everyday.
For 2009, I plan to cook a Rachael Ray recipe and blog about it everyday. I’ll let you know how long it really took, if I changed anything, if it really was that easy, and most importantly if my husband liked it. (My little boy eats anything, and he can’t talk yet, so his opinion doesn’t count.)
Although, I make every attempt to cook Rachael Ray recipes exactly how she prescribes them, there may be times when I forget things, run out of things, or just don’t want to use something she used. So I might use dried herbs instead of fresh, ground beef instead of ground turkey. As Rachael Ray often says: this is a method! So all of my cooking with be close to her recipes, but may not all be exact. Let’s face it, we don’t all have Food Network hookups for great fresh produce, herbs, and other ingredients that might not be available in small town America!
In short, I’ll buy my ingredients to cook based on my budget and what things are available to me at the store I go to; I make one trip, to one grocery store a week, no more!
I am in no way affiliated with Rachael Ray, or any of her companies. I would, however, love for her to find this site, maybe invite me to her show, and oh I don’t know… send her pal KC to makeover my kitchen!
I hope this blog inspires you to make a meal for your family, I find it truly rewarding.
